Well, Joey Porter and the Dolphins have officially parted ways, and all I can say is "It's about time". I decided to beat WV to it, and create the official Joey Porter memorial thread where we could share our favorite stories, moments, and memories of the not-so-good Joey Porter.

I'll start us off with my favorite memory. I remember when "peezy" first came to Miami, we were all so excited. He stayed longer and longer, and did not produce, yet still talked trash that he simply couldn't back up. Well, really, there is nothing good at all about this memory, but it just reminds me how disapointing and worthless Joey Porter was, and still is.

08 was great and he was a major catalyst. But really, he's a team cancer and punk-azzed thug who's too yellow to fight his own battles, a dog fighter and Vick supporter whose animals kill ponies and a general windbag whose big mouth writes checks that his on field play can't cash!. Going forward, I'm wishing him what he deserves!

I like this. I don't know if it will ever truly be as epic as the "John Beck Memorial Thread."

Anyways, I remember when Joey first signed with Miami. I wasn't excited because I couldn't stand the guy as a Pittsburgh Steeler. Then, the Las Vegas casino incident happened. I remember Greg Cote writing an article, praising Porter's casino antics, because it was "the kind of toughness that the Miami Dolphins need." The fact that a local writer would endorse thuggery and buffornery as a good thing, you kind of knew this signing wasn't going to work out.

In short, Joey sucks.

I know your comments are just a sweeping generalization about our fan base and I'm not saying your comments are not true, but I was seriously against this guy from day 1. Never have liked this guy.

Yeah...I give Joey all the props in the world for his play in '08.But he himself turned on the 'Fins.Kinda like puttin the shoe on the opposite foot.You're absolutely right about how "SOME" fans can turn on a player.EVERY TEAM in this league has them.But it's a two-way street,and Joey signed his own pink slip for running that big mouth of his.After hearing how he felt......I wanted him gone too.He is not a team player.It's all about Joey to him.Good luck to him on finding a new home.He'll be someone elses problem.My man Wake will do just fine without him!!!
