    Laptop issue help

Hey, so I have a weird issue I've never had before. I have a Dell Inspiron 1545 is that helps, just started using it first week of September 2009. So, my ac adapter is fine, the light goes on and everything, but sometimes when it's plugged in it switches to battery power as if its not plugged in, and sometimes the screen flickers. I bought a new AC Adapter, and when I first plugged it in it was still on battery, then I plugged it in again today and it worked.

Could there be something wrong with the Adapter jack that you plug it into? Is that easy/cheap to fix? Thanks!

Since the screen flickers and goes in and out...maybe its the power outlet it self..

Have you tried a different outlet?

Yeah I've tried two, it's happened in both. I'm thinking it's where you plug it in on the computer, since I have to wiggle it sometimes. I guess I can find a computer place to see how much that would cost.
