What's funny about this thread is that I'm actually part Basque on my mother's side. They emigrated to the Canary Islands, probably because the Basque region is like Spain's version of the Ozarks... a ****ed up mountain region full of clannish weirdos who poison each other and **** livestock.
If anyone's seen Winter's Bone... if there's a place in Western Europe where that kind of thing could happen, it's the Basque region.
