Going to my first dolphins game

I'm going to my first Dolphins game (against the steelers) and I was wondering if any of the locals would share some tips with me. I'm looking for travel, parking, tailgate, or any other miscellaneous tips. How early should I get to the stadium? Also could I walk to calder from sunlife? On a map it appears I could. I was thinking of checking it out after the game instead of waiting in traffic.
