    A NASA press release announcing "an astrobiology finding" -- something that will impact the search for extraterrestrial life -- has sent shockwaves through the blogosphere.

    The press release simply announces an event, set for Thursday at 2 p.m. EST, to discuss an astrobiology discovery "that will impact the search for evidence of extraterrestrial life." Astrobiology is the study of the origin, evolution, distribution and future of life in the universe

    Not nearly as ground breaking as people were assuming. We have known for awhile about the bacteria that live of of arsenic. This was a over blown case of nothing. It means that NASA will now waste Bilions looking for bacteria in places they haven't looked before.

    How about we get some manned missions to Mars and Titan. How about we start terra forming the moon.

    Nasa, get back to me when you do something really ground breaking.

    Completely agree, was hoping for somethign actually groundbreaking. What a letdown.
