With all the classics mentioned above how is it that no one mentioned -
Metroid!
"Half the lies they tell about me aren't true." ~ Yogi Berra

My favorite classic game is Metal Gear Solid for PS1. It's the first game I beat over and over and over and over again. I have 2 copies at my house, one came in the Essentials Pack which I bought for the rare MGS2 Substance and the other is a Jap import of MGS Integral. Took me over a decade to track down Integral but it was worth it!
The old school game I have the biggest love/hate relationship: TMNT 1 how is that game a freaking kids game?? I make it out of the underwater level with 1 turtle left and then get my *** handed to me right after. I still can't beat this game some 20 years later it's sad.

You and me both. Absolutely love every game in the Zelda series. I still haven't beaten part 2 on NES. That game is seriously my kryptonite.

I played Earthbound as well Cedar. I still own it, as well as all the other RPGs of the era. I have Final Fantasy II and III, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG, Secret of Evermore, Secret of Mana, Lufia, Legend of Gaia, etc. I still go back and play them every few months if I have some downtime. Good times...

If I could take your pain and frame it, and hang it on my wall,
maybe you would never have to hurt again...

2011 Boise State Football Preview Video!

I haven't played that game since I was 8 or 9 years old. I'm going to go hit up a few retro video game stores and look for it...

PC - Ultima Online (MMO), Red Alerts when they first came on the scene and the original Medal of Honor was really fun from what I remember.
Consoles - Twisted Metal (not sure if that really counts) - PS, Super Sprint - NES, Contra - SNES. There really is just too many. I didn't get into many RPGs untill later on.
I really enjoyed going to the Arcade and stuff and playing games like TMNT, Simpsons, XMEN. Good ****. There is a sports bar near me that still has the oldschool TMNT. A few pitchers and TMNT with 3 friends - good times.

Look at it like this, when NES was 10+ years old it was old school, and still is. PSX (PS1 whatever you call it) is definitely old school by 2011.
