Right - or VY. These idiots still want to run the wildcat with probably VY and Thomas. (That's why they moved up to target Thomas I'm guessing.) I see them targeting VY and Reggie Bush - unfortunately.
    You seem good at that!

Take off the homer glasses...How anybody that watches and understands football can give this draft anymore
than a C,(and it's only a C if Pouncy is a pro bowler very soon) is just delusional.
We reached and over priced ourselves on just about every pick.

You wanna bet that they don't run wildcat with Thomas this season? I'll bet you they do.

F- With murderous rage, violent contempt, and extreme pernicious malice.

Ross needs to clean house next year.

This isn't something a free agent frenzy could overcome, although, it wouldn't hurt to try.

We could sign Yanda OG,Kiwanuka and Manny Lawson OLB's,DeAngelo Williams RB and Owen Daniels TE and we would still be a long shot because of QB.

Lol Edmund Gates? Give me a break. You're drooling over a guy who you've never even heard of until a few hours ago. He might not even make the team.
Are you serious with that comment? I know your comment was to someone else, but I personally did hear of him before the draft. I actually mentioned his name last night as a good pick if they got him in the fourth. He is raw in his route running, and that is why he dropped to the 4th round, but he has game breaking speed. He will make this team, absolutely no doubt about it. He isn't going to come in and be a starter and 1,000 yard receiver but you can bet they will use him a lot in the passing game and he will take A LOT of pressure off of Marshall and Bess by running the deep routes. Plus they will probably replace Carroll and Bess as the punt/kick returners with Gates.

Mike Mayock compared Gates to Mike Wallace of the Pittsburgh Steelers, both raw route runners coming out of college but blazing speed and a big time threat. A speed receiver is what this offense needed, and that is exactly what they got in Gates.

I guess Mike Mayock and Mel Kiper are Dolphins homers.

Mel Kiper just nailed that Jake Long right tackle prediction.

I will remember you TeddSlimmJr and Spesh, after we win it all, I'll just sit back and laugh with fond memories of my superior football IQ.

How is it people can evalaute a draft before the players even slap pads on is beyond me? I'm glad we didn't draft a QB from what I saw sign a free-agent or two to compete - and look at the ponies coming up

Id give us a b+. I know we didn't have the sexy picks in mark ingram or a qb but I didn't feel that confident in drafting a qb with our limited picks this year. We can grab a vet qb in free agency or get one from next years class. We drafted for our needs and I feel that we filled those needs nicely. We got ourselves a decent rb (I know ingram was the big pick but I think filling our oline was more important). Pouncey will be a good piece in our line for a while. We got a very fast wr and return man that can stretch the field for marshall and the rest of our offense. We also found a te with good hands and can also stretch the field.

If we could get orton for a good price and deangelo I think we would be in a good position.

I really liked the draft. For now, I give this a B+/A-. We addressed some huge holes in our interior OL, RB, and a deep threat WR. I am also intrigued by the Clay pick. I like Pouncey. He was one of the few people I would have wanted if we stayed at 15. Don't think he would have been there if we traded back into the 20s.
I don't understand all the vitriol surrounding the Thomas pick. I would have loved to have seen Mallett there, but I think we got a good back with a lot of upside. Hell, the guy has only been in that position for 2 years and he looks like a real bruiser a la Hillis or Barber. I am on board with that. Also, I don't think giving up a 5th and a 7th to move swap a 3rd for a 2nd is giving up much at all. We got the better end of that deal.
Gates looks very exciting. That will help our offense immensely.
