After watching the ladies come back and knock out Brazil, then beat France despite being arguably outplayed, I'd be pretty surprised if we don't beat Japan. They are somewhat of a Cinderella team, so it's hard to root against them, especially considering the devastation with the recent earthquakes. Anyone else been watching the World Cup?
On a side note, Hope Solo is a ridiculous name. Sounds like the name of a superhero from a really bad indie movie. One hell of a goalkeeper though...

I watched the Brazil game and i thought it was one of the most exciting soccer games ever, they kept fighting every damned second, as for Hope Solo that's an awesome name imo, and i love her fire, when asked about where the team got its confidence from she replied "it comes from cause we know we're damn good"

I've watched some of it, and I think we have a great chance at beating Japan. We didn't play as well today against France, but I think the US should beat Japan.

Find it crazy how a good proportion of Americans only care about football(soccer) when a big tournament comes round. Not having a go, just find it strange.
I watch it as much as I can. The issue is that it's never televised here in the states. We have a Professional Soccer League, but none of the TV stations carry the games. It sucks for fans like myself because no one gives a crap about the sport here. That's why I love it when the World Cup is going on, I can actually watch a few games...
