New Question, First time Fantasy draft...

ok, so first time fantasy draft...i get the picks and all that..

but i got laughed outta the room when i took the dolfins dst?

were we not ranked 3rd last year(until the last week), and why are we rated so low on the cheat sheets this year?

was this an ok pick or ...am i just a homer?

It's a little of both. The D is good, but they don't get many fantasy points.

I had the Dolphins D last year and sometimes they were incredible, but sometimes they were the biggest factor in me losing. Consistency was the issue.

As long as you took 'em in a sensibly late slot, it's fine. D/ST is really a matter of personal preference. I got a few comments when I went with the Rams this year but meh, I think they could surprise and, honestly, I'll likely add/drop defenses a few times throughout the season.

the top fantasy d/st are the ones that end up returning kicks, punts, interceptions, and fumbles for touchdowns. lots of ints, fumble recoveries and sacks helps too. it varies so much from year to year, it's hard to predict who's going to have a ton of pick 6's.

Where did you draft them? I always draft D in the penultimate (2nd to last) round and a kicker in the last.
