Disappointing end to what looked to be a great season for the Phils.
I'm stunned, also about the Yankees as well.

I think the Phils would of won it all had they won, the best team that was built for 7 games is them

I agree. The thing that worried me with them is that their offense can go cold for a few games and it can cost you in a short series like these.

Now the NLCS/ALCS are set, my World Series matchup is Brewers-Rangers, not sure who is going to win yet.

I do because we don't have much behind him. I'm thinking something like a 2 year deal. The guy on the roster now who I don't expect to be on there next year is Ibanez.

The Phillies became too one dimensional on offense....they relied too much on the long ball and they just couldn't count on Howard hitting home runs. More often than not Howard strikes out, especially in big games. The Phillies probably still have the best pitching but their everyday guys have gotten old and have gotten hurt. I think the Phillies should try to move Howard's contract but they won't get many takers. The Phillies should still be up there for the next three seasons but they need to bring in some younger players and soon. I'd like to see a Rangers and Brewers World Series....I hate St. Louis and don't follow the Tigers much.

He's not a bum, and he didn't fake that injury. He has a torn achilles tendon, so everyone would be in pain with an injury like that.

Bad ending to a season that looked chock-full of potential.
