This is coming from people who don't understand the difference between the legal aspect and the social one. So far, Joe did nothing illegal(from what we know). Penn State did nothing illegal by firing him either. You can't argue that because Joe followed legal protocol that he deserves to keep his job. That doesn't make much sense. What makes even less sense coming from the Paterno defenders is the fact Joe should be excused on these grounds. If he was as powerful as everyone says he is then he either knew or should have known what was going on. Can't have it both ways. At this point I'd say he would be lucky if no criminal charges are pressed at some point.
