    Charlie Weis to coach Kansas

LAWRENCE, Kan. -- Charlie Weis' first try at being a college head coach ended in disaster, the longtime NFL assistant unable to live up to the lofty expectations at Notre Dame.

    Bum.
"Fundamentals, technique, execution -- primary. Scheme -- secondary."

"We will incorporate an aggressive, up-tempo, attacking style in all three phases of the game."

"Our team will play with discipline, poise, and maximum effort."

"I want us to be the best tackling team in the NFL, the best team in pursuit, I want to take the ball away from other teams, I want to rattle the opposing quarterback every opportunity we get."

    -- Joe Philbin

Remember when all the Florida fans talked about how Weis was the greatest OC in the history of ever and was going to turn Brantley into a stud because he's better suited for a pro-style, bla bla bla?

    A better question is:

Who would win an eating contest? Stomach Staple Weis or Mark Mangino?

I think Weiss will do better at Kansas. He doesn't have to worry about high expectations, and he can recruit. Plus, I hear he's gonna put together a decent staff including Jim Leavitt as DC.

I hear Leavitt is getting some love as HC at Arizona State.

I was hoping Weis would stay at Fla for a few seasons, but i guess not,oh well. He does need to lose some serious weight though.
