you do realize they hired him before they even knew they would be playing the broncos, right?
the patriots didn't do anything differently than what they had done after the first quarter in the regular seasn matchup with the broncos. they switched to a 3-4 front and shut the broncos offense down; they did the same thing this game.
Agree, the Broncos were the best possible matchup for NE in the playoffs. You have to have some sort of a passing game to beat TB 12 and the Pats.

you play zone against the pats o and let the te's have free releases and i laugh at you...you're just asking to get destroyed...you got to chip gronk at the line or jam him up in the 5 yard zone same for welker...you let brady sit back there and go thru his progressions and you get torched
baltimore won't be so nice next sunday
hoops scoops...prospects mia should target top 4 rounds 2013 draft...

First time they met 41-23.

It's not as if Belichek would not have been on the phone this week to McDaniels. NE is a far better team playing against a scheme that makes you wonder why the Broncos thought they could stop that offense with a zone.

So how much did McDaniel have to do with the dickkicking the Patriots put on the Broncos a couple of weeks ago when McDaniel was watching from his couch?
Tebow is not a great QB. Belichick can outcoach anyone in the league. Patriots offense is damn near unstoppable...and Denver's defense is pretty damn good. The Option offense in the NFL always has been, and always will be pure ****ing trash at best. Anyone with an average team can stop that Option with little effort. The Patriots defense is by far the worst defense in the playoffs this season and they were one of the worst in the NFL for the entire season. Chad Henne threw for 400+ yards on that defense. Explain that.

yards are a poor way to measure how successful an offense is. Henne got nearly half his yards in the 4th when the phins were behind be 3 scores and the patriots went into a soft prevent defense.

Here we go with the credit to McDaniels again. Tell me. Was Josh McDaniels able to recreate this Patriot offense in Denver? He wasn't? I wonder why?
It's the same when looking at guys like Joe Philbin and Pete Carmichael Jr. You aren't getting those offenses without those quarterbacks. McDaniels is a coach that felt is was all him and not Brady, but he got a wake up call.
