Great first episode; a little bit of everything including blood and gore; introduced Lucy Liu as a new tightly wound patrol person. Excellent season launch of an under-appreciated series.
Anyone else a fan?

No one else is into Souuthland, eh? Bahama Mama?
Oh well, like they say: if you don't know what you're missing, you ain't missing much!
I really like the show. Recorded the first show this season but haven't had any time to watch it yet.
Ricky and Ronnie. Best tandem in the league!

First time you saw it? If so a couple of seasons on cable and the first one on NBC to catch up on. Either way, next week tell them you're a guest of the Blue Man Crew and they'll seat you upfront

I actually caught it in it's first season. I've not been able to follow it very closely, but the shows I've seen tells me it's quality.

Excellent finale last night to what could have been the best season yet!

I hadn't really seen the show before this season but I did watch all of the recent ones.

There's something that nags at me about Southland. I think it's just too much of a shotgun approach.
Now, I have yet to watch the finale, so I'll see how that works out.

It is kind of rapid fire, not feely touchy or often sentimental. I guess that format is not for everyone. What I like is that each character's continuation leapfrogs ahead in a linear manner but often from point A directly to C assuming the audience is sufficiently astute enough to fill in the blanks. Final episode: same sort of format, centers on things that no matter how jaundice an experienced LE might be, are still hard to take, the reality of politics triumphing over doing right, street justice and ends with an act of continuity. Pretty damn good I thought.

Still wondering if the 3rd world terrorist has gotten started with the series yet.
