One NFL scout says age concerns about Oklahoma State QB Brandon Weeden's are a "joke" because he is ready to play in the NFL at age 28.

"The age thing to me is a big joke because he’s ready to play. He’s mature," said the scout. "He has all the physical attributes. There are no character issues. He has it all." If Weeden is as pro-ready as the scout described, he won't make it out of the first two rounds. Weeden could be an interesting selection for Denver in the second round. The Broncos refuse to tailor their long-term offense to Tim Tebow, and Weeden is essentially the prototype at 6'4" with a big, accurate arm

At this point I'm not even sure if Weeden will be there in round 2, but yeah 2-3 years of Peyton followed by a 30-31 year old Weeden is ideal to me.
Or if we miss out on Peyton, I'd love to get Weeden to compete with Moore this upcoming season. We can spend a first on a playmaker like Wright or a pass rusher like Coples.

What? Why on earth is your DREAM SCENARIO one where we have a QB (albeit an injured all time great) from age 36-38 then we have another guy who is ****ing 30 years old? I'd rather have a young guy with amazing potential, such as an RG3, @ 22 years old so we can have a great QB for TEN YEARS NOT TWO

Peyton+Osweiller is more ideal for me. The kid is 6"8, 240 lbs.. You cant teach that..Hes only lik 20, so sittin him behind peyton could help him blossum.

Um...if we are talking DREAM scenarios, Give me Peyton + Luck or RG3. If I'm dreaming might as well reach for the stars!

Personally, I think we should give Chad Henne another chance. He may be able to flourish under Philbin. Don't want to give up on him so soon.

If you get Manning, all FA's and the first three rounds should be devoted to building around him. Rounds 4-7...take your QB.

Any scenario drafting Weeden in second round is far from a dream scenario. Dont see how people view Weeden as any more ready to start than other draft picks but oh well. If Ireland spends a 2nd round pick on Weeden he is an idiot.
