Manning could be a skin

Two people "close" to the Manning family tell Howard Eskin of 94 WIP Philadelphia that Peyton Manning is "very likely" to be a Redskin in 2012.

Eskin is a Philly reporter with a relatively spotty reporting track record, but his information is at least interesting. He refers to the Redskins' interest in "other QBs" as a "smokescreen," and indicates that Mike Shanahan's priority will be to acquire Peyton Manning. On Sunday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the Redskins have interest in both Matt Flynn and Kyle Orton.

Howard Eskin is an idiot. If he is reporting that he will be a Redskin, that should be a clear sign that he will not be a Redskin.

i don't see it. Why would he want to play Eli twice a year? When the two matchup for the most part they both stated they just wanted the game to be over.

Why would he go to a team that has no oline, no receivers, and no defense!!! This must be a tactic to get more money from other suitors. To be perfectly honest, Miami would be the best situation for him. Top 5 Defense, Bush led the league in ypc, Marshall is an elite reciever, franchise LT, no state tax, beautiful weather in December. I could go on and on but it doesn't matter unless he's healthy!!!

Can't see Peyton plugging into that cast of supporting characters including Kyle Shanahan. Nor can I see him playing outside in the winter chill. Last, I can't see Peyton knowing that he's standing in the way of Eli making it into the postseason.

....expect more frenzied bidding than even on Storage Wars.
