Only the Dolphins would have a Chicago Bears Ballboy as their GM

Hm. Is it common to let the OC handle QB coach responsibilities?

I think your looking to deep into it. Our top guys Philbin/Sherman have groomed QB's so theres no rush in placing 1 guy in charge when in theory those 2 will be the true 1's doing it. I have no issues with what they do the 1st season they will have a hallpass with me.

I assumed that Sherman would be the one who worked with the QB anyway when he was hired, so its a non issue to me.

QB coaches are the natural heir apparent to the OC job if the OC gets a head coaching job somewhere else, so I consider the lack of a true QB coach to be not particularly good news given that Sherman nearly got a HC job this year and if we have any success this year or next he'll be a prime candidate for HC jobs around the league.

It is what it is, though. Sherman is good with quarterbacks, so I don't mind him taking double duty. I just worry about it long term.

I would rather have them hire a QB coach and let Sherman focus being the offensive coordinator. Plus they need someone on the offensive staff to possibly groom to take over as OC if Sherman leaves after one year.
