The Iranian regime IS headed for destruction. It doesn't need our military coming in there and reunifying them against us. Let it destroy itself with a little covert assistance from us. I have absolutely no problem with that kind of involvement.

We rolled into Iraq and then had a bloody war for 8 more years. We also rolled into Afghan and are still there fighting over 10 years later. Sorry for not believing in the "cakewalk" theory.

The statement of rolling into Iraq was regarding the initial combat. The Iraqi forces were defeated quickly.
It soon turned into a counter insurgency out of respect to the innocent Iraq citizens.

The conflict in Afghanistan began because of the search for Bin Laden. Because to the terrain, it is a very difficult place to fight. The Soviet Union got bogged down there. We did too. The sooner we are out of there completely, the better.

If war starts with Iran, their military would be wiped out in a couple of weeks.

They need them if we are invading yet another country (for oil). Strap 'em on! The infantry needs ya! If you're so hungry for ANOTHER war, do it! Man up. The Army is particularly good at giving age waivers. If the GOP somehow wins, you'll likely get your chance to "spread America's exceptional seed."

I'm going to preface this by saying that I agree with your position, but Israel probably hasn't done anything because we won't let them. If anyone is going to take down Iran it's us. We've spent way too much time and money building them into an enemy.
