Retrospective: Nicholas Cage's Films - Best To Worst and Most to Least Successful

These are a couple of interesting lists.....I"m most interested in the "Movie Score" version which ranks his top 50 movies using a score that combines the ratings of viewers and critics and factors in the awards won.

Until you see the sum total of his body of work, if you're like me, you don't appreciate how prolific an actor he's been and likewise how many enjoyable (I didn't necessarily say critically "good") movies he's been in in between the stinkers. Personally I don't think he's a great actor, but still I can think of more than a few movies, the genres of which lent themselves well to his style and skill. My favorite of his was "Conair" although Raising Arizona was up there too. You?

Nick Cage is a crazy dude. I mean, certifiable, IMO. He's had some fantastic movies though. "Birdy" is still my favorite Cage....And Modine for that matter...movie.

I actually liked him in Con Air but I loved him in Lord of War!

He was totally tubular in Valley Girl.

I think this was the first Cage movie I saw. It was funny as heck. The punk rocker finds love with the Valley high princess. For sure. Like totally

Conair and Face off with Travolta both came out about the same time. I think that's when he was at the top of his game.

Matchstick Men was so excellent but I haven't watched it in close to 10 years. I just might have to find it.
