That's bull****. He's a jets beatwriter. Barry Jackson wrote the other day that Manning respects Sherman and heard good things about Philbin.
I actually took the time to email Manish yesterday at the NY Daily News, and he was kind enough to reply to me. His first response was that he isn't a Jet's fan.

But then he felt the Jets were among three teams (the Cardinals and Phins being the other) that Peyton is most interested in. He didn't say how he knew this.

Jets would bring back Moore as passing coordinator with Soprano as run game manager.Moore is the wildcard here because he is really really close with Manning apparantly.
An Sparano in all his infinite wisdom will convert to a Wildcat full time as way of preserving Manning's health.

Moore isnt even with Jets anymore. He was a consultant last year. Mort said Dolphins are team to beat. He said if Houston wanted him then he would go there. Mort is close to the Manning family.

We're talking about what a JEST beatwriter thinks?  C'mon guys, our beatwriters are bad enough.

You dont have to be a fan of a team to be the beat writer.

If he goes to Miami, then he will have to play in NY, NE and Buff. Arizona offers a schedule of San Fran, Seattle and St. Louis, and a dome.

According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, free agent Peyton Manning has whittled the list of 12 interested teams "down to a couple," including the Dolphins.

The Dolphins hope to meet with Manning over the next few days to examine his medical history. They're not alone. NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora reports several teams want to see Manning throw, but have received no feedback as to whether he plans to hold a workout or visit teams. The events of the weekend will be telling, as the Dolphins need an answer by March 13 and the Cardinals by March 17.
