When I saw this thread I thought that we must of made the mistake of signing him. Then I saw he was still on the street.

NFL GMs and owners are predictable and reactionary. The fact Jeff Fisher is still considered a valued coaching commodity proves this.

VY's final 2 years in TN, they were 12-6 when he started, 2-12 when he did not. In 2009, his QBR rating was the 6th-highest in the league. In 2010, his QB rating was 98.6, and he was top 5 all year until he was ousted by Fisher. You cannot say he did nothing to earn his record. Why were they so awful when he didn't start?

The suicide story was debunked. It was given to the media by FISHER.

VY was the leader of the Titans, but he threatened Fisher, who is an egomaniacal ass. VY has a history of being a leader and a winner. Do not be fooled by the good ol' boy propoganda.

Tannehill has accomplished NOTHING.

And even for his time in Philly, VY gets a bad rap. He beat the Super Bowl champion Giants and had a very good game, throwing for 400 yards, against the AFC champion Patriots. His one bad game was against Seattle, but even in that game his receiver, Riley Cooper, caused a 14-point swing by tipping a perfectly-thrown ball inside the 20 to the defender for an INT the other way.

VY is a proven commodity who had an egomaniacal loser of a coach.

You're cherry picking your stats. You want stats? In 60 games played, 46 TDs, 51 INTs. Verrrrrrry impressive. Sure, his QB rating in 2010 was 98.6 but he played a whopping half the season and for his career his rating is 74.4. That is a worse lifetime rating than Jay Fiedler. What about the 6 fumbles he had in 2010 and the 40 he has had in his career? He threw for 400 yards against the Pats?!!?? So what? So DID BAD CHENNE!!!! (Yes, Chad Henne). Everyone threw on the Pats last year. The Titans record without VY isn't a compliment to him, it's an indictment of how bad his backup was.

Move on from VY.

The suicide rap was bogus. Jeff Fisher used that to create an excuse to keep VY on the bench.

How does anyone defend Fisher?? He fought the owner over VY and used manipulative tactics to get his way. Never mind the fact that he was passive aggressive, the fact that he preferred Collins in 2009-10 (2-12, terrible ratings) over VY (12-6, superb ratings) says it all about how deranged the man was.

Imagine you are in VY's shoes. You come in and lead the team to a 8-2 finish in 2009 after the owner FORCED Fisher to start you. Then the next year you improve more and are even #1 in the NFL in pass efficiency for a few weeks and leading a team that is making a playoff run early in the season. Then you get injured and the coach looks for every excuse to keep you on the bench, culminating in trotting a rookie out there in overtime to cause your team to lose and fall to 5-5.

VY is infuriated, dresses quickly, and leaves the locker room. Fisher tells him not to walk out on his teammates, and VY responds that he walking out on Fisher. Fisher immediately broadcasts the news to the world and says VY is off the team. (of course the whole thing played into his hands) Most of the players know this is between Fisher and VY and don't take sides. Collins comes in and the team finishes 1-5.

VY admits he should have kept quiet, but can you blame him for being upset? And now his name is tarnished because of this egomaniacal joke of a coach?
