Oh. Another one of these ridiculously naive WR threads. Jennings and Nelson are far better than anything we have on this roster. They were far better prospects coming out of college than anything we have on the roster. They have more talent than anything we have on this roster. Look around. Top teams have explosive pass catchers. We don't. And only one WR on the roster (Gates) has any chance whatsoever at being one. Oh and did I mention they have this other guy named Jermichael Finley? He too is far better than anything we have.

While i do not agree 100% with exactly what the op is saying, i do agree in part.

I feel by the end of next season, at least 1, possibly 2 of our wf's that are currently on our squad will have very good seasons.

Bess is going to be one of them, and i am not sure who is going to have the breakout year, Gates, or Wallace, but one of them will.

Que the snarky comments...we will see i guess.

These WRs will see nothing but one on one with little help over the top from the safeties. We have too many RB and TE weapons that the defense will key on, the WRs should see success because all of our WRs are good route runners which is all you need to get separation. The key to this offense being very good is if Gates can be that deep threat to make the defense keep saftey help on his side leaving more TEs and RBs on LBers. Have fun putting a LBer on Egnew, Clay, Bush or Miller.

If you really considered Jennings a "no name"...then I know exactly where to place your analysis...in the garbage....

I never said he was a "no name receiver." Just said he wouldnt be a houshold name. I think a dr would know the difference. So put yourself in the garbage. Just trying to say lets wait and see what happens when we finally mock the winners and spread the field. Jeez, yall are such haters!

Isn't the receiving corp better than it was pre-Marshall? I don't remember everyone saying Miami had the worst group in the league.

After having slept on this...we can go into this season with what we have at WR. We're not going to the Super Bowl this year, and hopefully this coaching staff can develop our talent. Hartline can catch the ball, so can Bess. The staff just has to COACH the players and "put them into positions to succeed" , and I think we can do that. I mean, how many MORE catches or TDs does drafting a WR high get us?

not really. We have a "number 1 receiverS", he just isn't a big name.

For me, this is the biggest question going into next year. Regardless of who wins the QB job, we know we have at least serviceable play there. I'm anxious to see if the new system can let what we have be more successful or whether our lack of a true lock at WR is a huge detriment.
