    Obviously most don't know that Jake is a natural RT and started that way at Michigan until Lloyd Carr switched him. Aside from the monetary reasons, Martin is not nearly as strong as Jake and with the two together should play the right side. No doubt Martin will fill in at LT if Jake is hurt.

    I am not at all convinced that they won't retool the line to get the athletic lineman Philbin likes instead of the brawn that Parcells and Sparano wanted. I don't believe Ireland when he says he wants Jake Long in the future and if they do elect to trade Jake, they have a very nice replacement in Martin.

    I would not be opposed to Martin at LT and Jake @ RT. Though, not this year.

    If Jake moves on or is moved on due to monetary reasons than Martin s/b able to make the transition.
