When I joined, I expected them to be in the playoffs every year. Because they were.

    COOL Thread Crumpdaddy.

I joined this site on 9/3/2001, I was 29 years old.

That year, the Dolphins finished in a tie for first place with New England in the AFC East with an 11-5 record but ended up with second place based on the tie breaker. We lost the Wild Card Playoff game to my family's team the Baltimore Ravens. The head coach at the time was my all-time least favorite dolphin, Dave Wannstedt.

I did not like our QB/RB corps. Chris Chambers was the lone bright spot on our offense...

but our defense was downright NASTY!!!! We had the most dominant DT tandem in the NFL (Darryl Gardener and Tim Bowens), we had an excellent pass rushing DE combo (Jason Taylor and Adewale Ogunleye), we had one of the top MLB manning the defense (Zach Thomas), and we had the best CB tandem in the NFL (Patrick Surtain and Sam Madison).

My favorite player at the time was Jason Taylor.

The best player was probably Zach Thomas, but I really loved how Darryl Gardener and Tim Bowens wrecked havoc every week and I give partial credit of Zach's success to them because they were by far the most dominant DT tandem in the NFL and did an excellent job of allowing Zach to roam freely and make tackles.

I love defenses, and our defense was set, they were fun to watch every week.

Aw heck, i dont know. Obviously our defense was the strong suit, I loved Brock Marion(flying around after a big play). Believe it or not I really liked Leslie Shepherd and wished he would've gotten more looks.

2002, right around the same time we were in pursuit of one Ricky Williams.

Age when I joined FH: 18, I had just graduated from High School in June.

Expectations were high for the Dolphins and everyone had already marked down the opening game as a win for the Dolphins against the Texans. Ricky was coming off his monster season and I remember buying a NFL preview magazine that Summer and they had Ricky as the best player in the entire league. The only game I got down to Florida for that year as the season finale victory over the Jets.
