stupid arguement is idiotic. a super bowl win is worth more than anything either of our teams have accomplished in the last 39+ years.

thats kind of the way i saw it also...and i think once the motivation fell on deaf ears which it did in 2011 he had nothing...the players kept saying the right things but i think privately they lost the respect for him...and frankly with the way he played the game which was not to lose instead of playing to win and i'm sure a lot of that had to do with what he had at his disposal at the most critical position on the field qb i think the players saw through all the fist pumps and ra ra crap early

You may be right but I doubt the players would have fought as hard as they did each game if they lost respect for Sparano. It would have been easy for the players to "mail it in" (similar to the way it appeared in Indianapolis) if the players lost respect for the head coach. I'm sure there were some players who tuned him out but the team started playing with a swagger they didn't earlier in the season and a lot of that has to do with the Sparano. I don't know, maybe it also has something to do with the changes Sparano made after those comments, like letting the players sleep in later, easing up on the practices and letting the players police themselves that caused the team to play better.

I do agree with you on the way Sparano coached the game had a lot to do with him being fired.

It does and I said that. Over the 3 years that gives the Giants the egde but looking at each season individually the jets were much better 2 of the 3 seasons.

It's what you always do. You give credit but then deflect from it in the same sentence. The Giants SB win trumps anything the Jets did. Yeah the Jets went further in 2 seasons than the Giants did but the Giants actually got to and won the SB when the Jets didn't make the playoffs.

What isn't a fact about the following statement:

The Jets were better than the Giants in 2 of the last 3 seasons? That's an indisputable FACT, I'm sorry it bothers you guys so much. It's sad how you guys have to lacth on to another team to try and make us look bad b/c your team has been so horrible.
