OK, someones gotta explain this big bird/sesame street thing to me because im seeing it everywhere.

The Presidential debate was on PBS, which is funded by the government, and during it Romney tried to talk about how he would cut down on government spending. In the middle of his rant he announced that he loved Big Bird, he loved the host, but PBS would be one of the things cut.

edit: Big bird is a member of Sesame street and that show is on PBS. Forgot that since your living in the third world country known as the Bahamas you might not have known the actual sesame street cast part of the joke.

Sesame Street was a pretty big success. I don't know just how much the government had to do with its creation but I would like to see some full-throated defense of it and PBS. But I won't hold my breath.
