Anything goes? Ok then here is a rant.

I am currently sitting in a side room of my University library. There are twelve people in this room, 11 Chinese students and me. This isnt a race rant I have no issue with the Chinese, this rant is about University policy. Tens of thousands of local students get turned away from UK Universities each year, University fees have recently been put up as well so now we all have to pay more to go to Uni. Yet even if they have good enough grades thousands of students get turned away every year whilst places are given to thousands and thousands of people from all around the world - just because the Universities are allowed to charge them more than local students. This annoys me University is meant to be about getting people qualifications to get jobs - it very much frustrates me to see Uni's packed with global students just so the Uni can make ££. Im not really fussed about immigration but in terms of education id like to see our own citizens come first.

That's not unique to the UK. Universities here in the U.S. take as many out of state students as they can before accepting in-state freshman because the tuition is usually around 3x more for out-of-state students. Of course, then you have the international students, and I have no clue how much their tuition is, but I'm assuming astronomical. What that's meant for my University in particular is that we have so few people with masters and PhDs staying in the state after graduating that our local government is proactively working with the universities to change their policy on that. My program takes 10-15 students yearly. We get over 400 applicants for it every semester. When I got accepted, I was the only New Mexico resident in the group. Everyone else was from the east coast, and they all plan on going back home once they have their PhDs. It's stupid. This is what happens when you let finances take precedence over everything...

I agree with tyler. In general I don't find Asian girls that attractive. The caveat to that being that the ones that are attractive are pretty much ridiculously attractive. You guys may not notice that since there aren't that many native americans on the east coast, but it's the same with them. Most of them aren't even average looking, they are downright ogres. But every once in a while you'll come across an attractive native girl, and she pretty much blows most other women away. It's pretty much all-or-nothing with them...
