Thats just the nature of the beast in the republican party. They make sense on some issues, but then go full retard on others and have no problem doing it.

Because there is no difference between the two parties. It's all a big shell game with the same people running both parties. It's called the Hegalian Dialectic. When you control both sides of the argument, you control the outcome of the argument. All the while, most people think that they are on different sides of the issue when in actuality they being pushed towards the same goal. That's why instead of debating free market versus socialism, we are debating over how much socialism/authoritarianism we are willing to accept.

For example, look to our past. Who was Richard Nixon's top advisor? Henry Kissinger, Nelson Rockefeller's protege. Who was Jimmy Carter's top advisor? Zbigniew Brzezinski, David Rockefeller's protege. Which president was in between the two of them chronologically (and the only completely unelected president in US history I might add)? Gerald Ford. Who was his VP? Nelson Rockefeller himself. It's all a coincidence though, I'm sure.

I thought this was interesting enough for it's own thread, but I figured we probably have enough on the subject as is.

On a semi-related note (not saying anti-depressants made these kids do what they did), sometimes I feel that psychiatrists are too quick to doll out the pills. ADHD is vastly over-prescribed, & how many of these kids now-a-days that are getting prescribed these things really have mental imbalances, & how many are just depressed because of a break-up? Or issues at home, or just being a lost, confused kid in general? These things have their legit uses, I just think there's a bunch of kids right now that are on ADHD medication, or anti-depressants, or whatever else have you, that don't really need to be.
