I've been drunk from pretty much Saturday until last night. Mardi gras in New Orleans is by far the most fun I've had in years. I suggest everyone try it at least once. I was definitely too drunk for Bourbon street though. Was not amused by all the creepy old men staring at Nina and yelling at her to show her tits. Frenchman street was way better, and may be one of the coolest places I've been in this country. Also, if you're ever in New Orleans, I highly recommend checking out this little place called Bacchanal in the Byriver. Fantastic. Heading home early tomorrow morning, which I'm sad about. Getting away from my dissertation was nice...

Has anyone here ever smoked a brisket? I have my own homemade clay pot smoker I've thus far only ever used for pork shoulder but was thinking of tackling brisket next.
