That's true. However, the income tax goes to the Federal Reserve, which isn't a government agency. It also directly violates the principle of no taxation without representation, which is one of the issues we supposedly fought the Revolutionary War over.

People don't realize this when you talk to them, the Federal Reserve is the larges banking cartel on the planet and it is a cartel, nothing more. J.P Morgan's crowing acheivement in asserting his dominance as the worlds most powerful man at that time.

The states should for the most part. No one is saying no taxes. Income tax is one we should get rid of. But as long as we continue to police the world, bailout the good ol' boys, and take care of everyone from cradle to grave then it's not possible. Hell we can't even fund it now even with income tax. Not even close.
