OPINION Longtime GM: "I would not have touched Ochocinco"

His best asset is his ability to get separation on routes," the GM said. "But you want a disciplined receiver to be in the right spots, and that's not what this guy is. I would not have touched him. His personality issues are not going to change. I don't know if he’s ever going to get it.

Longtime GM? Why no naming of this great GM? I was not thrilled with the signing but at the end of the day he can be cut with no burden on his salary.

I think he will be alright with the Dolphins. Let everyone underestimate 85. If he doesn't impress, we lose nothing. If he flashes even a fraction of his old self, we will be alright. I just want the season to start already.

Whatever...........the proof will be in the pudding...we needed someone in that WR corp and that was as good a gamble as anything.

If he returns to form we made out.....if he flops he's gone.

Attack the person in some way. For example:

    • Comment on their inability to make a good argument
    • Attach them to discredited others

You are not qualified to make such a statement.
You would say that, wouldn't you.

Just because one GM wouldn't have signed him doesn't mean it was a bad move. Seeing as how we all have different opinions on everything I'm not sure what the issue is.

shame on miami signing Chad for the vet minimum, incentive written contract. should have traded for him the way the Pats did when they got a steal in Ocho.

I just don't understand why people question his "personality". Sure he does fun and wierdo stuff, but its not like he is getting in trouble b/c of his personality. He is a fun loving guy who is a very good teammate from what I can tell. I would even argue that his personality allow shim to be successful on the football field. Look at last year when he was forced to keep super quite and change himself. Its a VERY good signing with minimal repercussions. It's not like he has some crazy history of being a locker room cancer like Moss.
