Well, like many have already stated, I come here for condensed news on the Fins- and I thank all of the great contributors for that. This forum is great for that and is always on the ball.

Just like most forums, it seems whatever opinion I have, whether good or bad, positive or negative, there are many who love nothing more than telling me how wrong/stupid/negative I am for stating it.

I've argued with the best of em, but I just don't have the time and patience to defend every post I make. I find my time is better spent reading and surfing than responding to every interesting post I see. Most of the time, my opinion has already been covered by others, but I will chime in when it seems appropriate.

Also, I'm not sure what stats one needs to be considered a lurker. I see some on here with thousands of posts, many of them excellent contributors, but there are still a lot with little substance to add to many posts and use their post count to as a way to legitimize their opinions; like an argument from popularity or authority.

Your post count doesn't automatically tell people how articulated, intelligent or rational you are, or make you any less of a fan than those with 10,000 plus posts or whatever.

My two cents anyway...

Ok, I guess I'll finally post.
I've been lurking since 2006. I visit this site everyday to keep up with Dolphins news and to read everyone's opinions, but I never felt prompted to reply before. Maybe this thread will get me involved.

I've been a member for 10 years and rarely ever post, but I read the site daily. I get more than my fair share of arguing on my Atlanta Hawks community that I own. That said, I do love Finheaven and am glad I made the switch from Dolfantalk many years ago.

Lots of folks only look-n-lurk because they don't want to post anything that might not fit into the 16 year old Madden definition of the world. Bottom-Line: folks don't like to get flamed with both barrels & ridiculed for postulating an idea. Suppose if you want rational discussion and examination of a topic you have to go to the premium members forum, else this is what you get. It's bad when visiting Jets or Bills fans have to tell supposedly Loyal Dolphins fans to chill out and not be such Piranhas...

To be fair, the only reason I still tune in is because some of the posters like CKParrot and a few others put forth rational dialog and well though out analysis. I'm really glad folks like CK don't just publish on the Premium forum only or else I'd be going somewhere else. Believe it or not, the vast silent majority agrees with me...
