Who cares about finishing ahead? What really matters is that the Dolphins were in the playoff race a week longer than the Jets. I'm pretty sure that makes the Dolphins nearly elite.

You arent truly elite until a team lets you back into the playoffs by resting their starters, then blows you out a few weeks later when it actually matters. We have a long way to go to reach truly Jets elite status.

So funny how Junc was bragging that they were in 2nd place due to a tiebreaker. After they lose to the Bills this week they will finish in the CELLAR!!!!!!

Not to be a killjoy but the Jets won't be in last place even if the Bills beat them. They would tie with head to head and division records but the 3rd tie breaker is common games. The Jets beat the Colts and Rams and the Bills didn't.

It would still be just as funny if all the Jets fans can brag about is not being in last place due to a tie breaker.

I find it funny that Tannehill had a decent game this week despite injuries to his weapons, which junc has claimed is most of the reason Sanchez blows. Tannehill was throwing to some clown named Binn. I dont even know who that dude is. I never heard of him before we signed him. Bess and Clay were out. Hartline was crippled. Yet somehow, some way, Tannehill managed not to ass fumble or throw 4 INTs. Amazing.

against a team that has quit and he had 2 opf his 3 WR/TE starters from week 1 playing last week. Sanchez hasn't had a single projected top 3 weapon in the pass game fopr the majority of this season. Please don't compare the 2 situations. Miami is "playing well" as they usually do w/ no pressure to win, that's very different than what happened to sanchez and the Jets this year.

It's like this EVERY year. I'll tell you exactly how things will go going forward for the next year:

Miami finishes 7-9, Jets 7-9. "Miami is on the the RISE" b/c they won 3 of their last 6 including somewhat competitive games against NE and SF, the Jets are headed down.

Miami signs some names in FA- "we're better than you guys everywhere!"

Miami's draft is the greatest!

Miami is better at QB, RB, OL, WR, TE, DL, LB, DBs, Coaching,...

2013 season starts, Miami is 3-6 and the jets are competiting for postseason.

2013 ends w/ Miami winning a few games and your future is bright AGAIN!

Miami wasn't in the playoff race a week ago, mathematically they were alive but they had no chance.

yes, we got a qtr and a half of Indy backups so we backed in by winning 5 of our last 6 then winning 2 ROAD playoff games including defeating the hottest team in the sport in the div rd. You guys beat nothing but dead teams in 2008 and never had to worry about Brady then you got humiliated in the WC rd at home. We got breaks too but proved we belonged by WINNING TWO playoff games and nearly making the Super Bowl. Those 2 playoff wins in the year we "backed in" are 2 more playoff wins than Miami since 2001.

actually we own the tiebreaker so the worst we could finish is in 3rd place. head to head would be tied 1-1, div record would be tied 2-4 and then it goes to commo games:

SF, Ari, Ten, hou, Ind, SL, Sea, Jax
