I never bothered w/ the cap b/c we always had Mike who was a cap wizard. BP left us w/ a cap mess, a year later Tannenbaum had us out and we still made the playoffs.

as fara s going forward, we have a ton of olsder, expensive guys that will be let go that will get us well below the cap to make some moves. Not enough to make huge splashy moves but the teams making those types of moves usually don't win(see Wash all those years or TB this year).

In other words you don't understand the predicament the Jets are in.

Over the last 5 years, since '08, the jest have ended up with a better record than the Fins one whole season. And that's even giving them credit in '09 when Indy and Cinci thought their games were so meaningless that keeping their starters healthy for the postseason was a much bigger priority.

I don't see a major, contemporary times difference between the two: mediocrity is mediocrity!

it's so cute how every year you guys think you are going to be great and how you think the Jets will suck every year. We had a bad year, terrible year and you guys supposedly had a good year and we had almost identical records.

now we are in cap hell again? This must be the 7th time in 10 years we have been in cap hell.

Not one person on this site thinks the Dolphins going 7-9 was a good year. You're in what some would consider cap hell b/c the Jets are 20 million over the cap and need to fill-in more than a few roster spots.

What, the generic statement about dropping older guys which magically puts them well under the cap didn't convince you?

Does he tell Rex where to vacation and which well hung buck to plug his wife with, too? Sparano fled, Rex fled, Johnson fled... leaving the players behind to describe why they suck so much.

Hardly the actions of honorable men. A fine is coming, hopefully a big one, and hopefully the league forces the Jets to put the money inside a diaper.

Yeah, it's going to be hard for Sanchez to be better with Keller back in the lineup when they've let Keller go in free agency because they can't afford him.
