    Positive/Negative Notes from ATL Game

    Positives

-1st team defense played well on 3rd down. Forced three negative plays on 3rd/4th downs to hold ATL to only 2 FG's

-Defensive line put pressure on Ryan and that was aided by solid secondary coverage by cornerbacks

-Defense looked OK without starting LBs

-Both Hogan and Moore looked good on special teams on punt coverage

-Tannehill did good job of making reads pre-snap, worked through progressions

-Davonne Bess is grossly underrated. He did a good job of making grabs

-Thigpen doesn't make me cringe in return game. Looks like he has speed, good vision, and can take a hit/break tackles.

-Lane can block and run over people

    Negatives

-LA sucks. There is a reason why he's been a #3/4 on a few teams now.

-Best play makers on this team don't get the ball enough. Reggie Bush and Daniel Thomas

-Safety's are so bad in coverage and worse is they aren't creating turnovers.

-Tannehill's timing is a little off with his receivers. Might jump the gun on a few throws.

-Coaches need to re-evaluate the depth chart for next game for a few positions

-Fasano was very bad tonight (just had an off night)

I've only watched 1st half so far. Might add to this but it's preseason. No need to get super excited or jump off the ledge. Teams go 0-4 and win superbowls.

We are rebuilding. This team sucks. I said it, and i consider myself the biggest Miami Dolphins homer ever. One word describes the football life of a Miami Dolphin fan...DISAPPOINTED. My mind is boggled by the front office of this team. This might be the worst team we have ever put on the field. When it was announced that my Miami Dolphins were going to be on Hard Knocks i was pumped and very excited. Fast forward to right now and i am embarrassed. We are a living walking breathing joke. The play on the field does nothing but prove everyone else right. I have never dreaded a football season before. I dread the 2012 football season. Let me say it's not the players fault. Jeff Ireland will be the death of this team. This guy has more lives than a cat. This 2012 off-season was awful. Now it's starting to show. Guess who pays the price??? The Fans. I am 27 years old. I've been a Miami Dolphin fan since i was in the 4th grade, I have the school picture to prove it. (Aqua Dan Marino jersey ) I know its only the preseason, but let's be real. We will be lucky to win 4 games. This is all just a fan letting some steam off. I don't remember the last time I went into a season with low expectations. Prediction: You thought last year was rough, get ready. 2007 all over again. Please football gods, lets me be wrong. I hope that i am proven wrong. Cheers to patience and Ryan Tannehill.

I really liked what I saw from DT and from RT tonight. Fasano was VERY disappointing. He should be making those grabs, to say the least.

I'm also disgusted with the replacement officials.

The first team defense did a great job. I am very happy with their performance. We didn't give up a TD until a decent number of scrubs were on the field.

The running game looked good enough. Bush showed what he can do on the first play of the game. Daniel Thomas and Lamar Miller looked better than I thought they would.

Everyone whose primary job it is to catch a pass other than those named Davone Bess suck and do not belong on an NFL roster.

The team played much better this outing. There were a number of positives.

The Falcons kept their starters in the game longer than we did and the score reflects that.

I got the impression that the coaching staff are more interested in evaluating the players than doing anything that it might take to win a preseason game.

Also, I think they are intentionally keeping a lot under wraps. The glaring negatives were the Tight End plan and the WR play. The QB's played well, the starting D played well. Abraham continues to have Jake's number. Jerry and the rookie played MUCH better.

John Jerry was outstanding. Maybe he has helped the line get over the top and be ok.
