Isnt that kind of a silly definition? The only reason it is affecting his job is becas it's illegal, if it werent illegal would he not be addicted anymore?

In his position he needs to be flexible. Getting caught flat footed isn't any good, and, pissing hot
to an internship is ****ing stupid.

And fair enough, Houtz didn't anticipate.

But in his position, he should have.

Not sure if it still works (I've heard it's something they may test for) ... But back in the early-mid '90's this method may or may not have been something that worked for 'ol Bump. Twice.

What you meant to say was "Don't do illegal drugs", not "Don't do drugs". Saying "Don't do drugs", while you either drink alcohol, smoke tobacco, drink coffee, or take pharmaceutical drugs, or whatever else, makes you a hypocrite.

Like I said, the legitimacy of the illegality of some of those drugs is a discussion for a different thread.

Some can argue not to drink or smoke as well but I digress. Yes, I should have said not to do illegal drugs if he's concerned about either not getting a job or getting fired b/c said drugs present an issue.

Completely agree but again, I had no idea I was even being considered for the internship. I had lined up two other internships which didn't drug test so i thought i wouls be fine. This is the restaurant industry and I've been around people doped up on coke that function perfectly fine. Never even thought about getting drug tested which still is no excuse. Because had I known this internship was still a possibility I would have stopped long before. Either way I messed up and whatever the outcome may be, I've learned my lesson and won't do it again.

For the record I'm not looking for ways to smuggle synthetic piss in or have a buddy pee in a cup. I was looking for ways to flush my system naturally. I drink so much water as it is and will continue to do so up until the test and even after.

I know it's a tricky situation man, I don't necessarily blame you for making a mistake. Weed is illegal and has been forever so it's a risk you take in using it at any point.

Im not looking for sympathy nor am I saying it was okay to smoke. Knowing that there was still even the slightest bit of hope that I may get this internship should have been enough to make me realize it was time to quit. But it wasn't and here I am.

Its ironic that at my current internship the executive chef and the other prep cooks ran out back earlier tonight and smoked a blunt. That's exactly what the restaurant industry is.

Like I said, in the end it has changed me whether I'm clean by Friday or not. It's not worth it to keep it up if I want to continue moving forward in life.
