This is about the organization doing more dumb **** and getting more negative media attention.
I mean who really sits down and dreams up some fan nailing a 60 yard field goal.
If you're even capable of kicking a football that distance, then you're capable of hitting a 40 yard field goal with some kind of consistency and would probably be playing on Sunday to begin with.

Man, thats why I dont even bother going to games anymore. Three hour drive, horrendous traffic in and out, 20-30 dollars for parking, drinks cost a million dollors, you sit so high the players look like twigs and tickets are still over 100 dollars, Its crazy! But its not like this is just the dolphins, its like this all over the country. Thats why the nfl is going to hell. Give me a cold beer in front of my HD tv with friends and family anyday. Of course I have this theory that pretty soon they will go to a pay per view system like boxing. That will be the day...

It seems to me someone took the idea of the half court shot and tried to translate that into the "half-court" field goal kick.
Not realizing its a hell of alot easier to shoot a ball from half court than to kick a ball 60 yards. Most people can shoot the ball from half court, just not accurate. What, like 1 in a million people might be able to kick the ball 60 yards?

You are giving yourself way too much credit. I have more important things to do thant to go out of my way to disagree with you just for the sake of it. I think a 60 yard field goal attempt to win money at halftime is silly and likely impossible. I also can't help smiling at so many people making such a big deal about it. Who really cares?

Next we are going to start arguing between whether the stadium should have Pepsi or Coke at the concession stands. I don't know, but I would rather root/complain about the team and front office in terms of football than whether or not a wall at the stadium has aqua paint or orange paint on it.
