I like the replacement refs. Not as many flags. We always got hosed by the originals. See Gene Steratore.
Do you REALLY think that those calls AGAINST the Patriots at the end of that game sunday would have been called by the "regular" refs? I don't think so....so I'm ok with the replacements!

I think we all remember the vaunted Pittsburgh game

Just when I start to forget that game again.............
Their calling of the game isn't that much worse. The main problem is their organization of the game. It seems like they feel the need to explain themselves every time a HC yells at them. Really slows down the game.
I agree with keeping the replacements. There are a few instances of stupidity, but otherwise I like less laundry on the field.
And, some teams have gotten very cozy with certain groups of Refs.
Those Refs think they are supreme court justices..jobs for life..
The reffing in our games hasn't been that bad. For the most part, the games have kept a decent pace. Monday Night Football, though, was a complete mess. John Fox should receive a very serious warning about his behavior on the sidelines. He certainly added to the chaos.

No, but when there is one, watch out.. They make a 3 hour game last almost 4 hours. These refs are simply put, horrendous at making decisions and they dont know the rules of the game are.

I believe any man's finest hour - his greatest fulfillment to all he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle...Victorious

Funny enough that they removed a ref because he was a Saints fan (which I agree with, btw), but had no comment on the fact that Steratore had lived in Pittsburgh his entire life during that incident...
