Can the Miami Hurricanes apply as the NFL's 33rd franchise? They probably should. Scouts came back from the Miami workouts amazed at the quality of the athletes in the program. No wonder Butch Davis struggled with the thought of leaving Miami a year ago to go to the Cleveland Browns as head coach. He had a pro team in Miami. Left tackle Bryant McKinnie, Shockey and cornerback Phillip Buchanon could all go in the top 10 while safety Ed Reed, halfback Clinton Portis and cornerback Mike Rumph could slip into the bottom of the first round. Six first-round prospects on any team isn't just amazing. It's an expansion team.
