He's pretty good about not barking/whining at night too.

Now, if I could just do something about his nails & teeth ****ing my arms up when I'm playing with him. (He did finally decide yesterday that he likes tug-of-war.)

Thus far, Zonk is quickly learning:
    - Outside? (Do you need to go potty?)
    - Sit.
    - Off. (Quit chewing on me/furniture/shoes.)

He's highly motivated by both praise and treats, & he's pretty damn smart. He's gonna be one helluva great dog when he matures a bit!
Great to see you are making progress. Hang in there it takes a little time and patience.
When we had 2 of our dogs born it was December in Ohio. Nothing like potty training 2 dogs in the winter.

I love my dog to death (shes a Jack Russell), but I cant imagine having 4 big dogs living with me at the same time.

We have a Dog kennel in a seperate building. So we can have some peace and quiet whenever we want.

You should see our Costco dog food bill. It is worth it though.

We finally got some snow today in Wheeling. (only about two inches so far)

I was wondering what Csonka would think about it ... He LOVES it! It's like he has an entire new world to play in. I spent the last 10 minutes standing on my deck laughing at him as he romped around in the yard.

Very nice bro. Congrats as I have three dogs. Walmart, and the pet stores have pee pee pads in small and large sizes in case of middle of the night accidents if you teach him to take a whiz or a dump there, or you can make sure you take him outside regularly. Also they make doggy doors for easy in out if you can teach him Zonk to use that. Watch out for pillows and other chewables in your home. I recommend picking up several toys and chew toys that are recommended for puppies for him to occupy his time.

Damn, bro ... Am I reading this correctly?

You have 3 dogs, and no yard? HOW?

    That's gotta suck

Edit: Upon 2nd read, N/M I got it.

    Bump's new puppy.

I have a side yard and a big back yard. Big Lots and Walmart will have cheaper toys for Zonk.

I just got a puppy 8 months ago the best way to train a dog is get a crate, a leash and a harness or collar. After he eats wait like 20 mins then take him out with leash and collar/harness. Always do that religiously after he eats. The crate is for the puppy to sleep in at night to train him to hold his bladder.

Whenever he does his business outside whether it be piss or crap praise him like a baby, i know it sounds stupid but it works. You can also always tell when a dog needs To go when they start sniffing in circles.
Perfect. The only thing I would add is to train him to sit at the door before you open it. After repeating this consistently, he will go to the door and sit down when he needs to be let out.
