    Extend Jeff Ireland...

Everyone that has talked smack about the guy the last couple of years, this is what he's given us:

Big men that ENSURE that any given week, we can dominate any given team in the trenches.
Reggie Bush for a low round draft pick.
Ryan Tannehill. Davone Bess. Brian Hartline. Anthony Fasano.
Vontae Davis, who has regressed MAJORLY.. for a 2nd and late pick..
Lots of picks and lots of money this offseason...

More than anything.. a BIG, STRONG, TOUGH team that can bang and play ANY style of football required of it.

If you are a Dolphins fan and aren't encouraged by what we've seen this year, you might want to find another team. I'm afraid nothing will ever be good enough for you.

We get a legit #1 receiver and just keep this core INTACT..we will be a force to reckoned with for years to come.

THAT SAID...this year is far from over. Tannehill has shown that he's got it. I, for one, am pumped.

    No.
Yes. His first year here, coming off a 1-15 season, we make the playoffs. Chad Henne era starts..we know how that goes. You cannot blame the Dolphins for giving Henne time. They missed and moved on. He got injured Matt Moore went 6-3.

If we don't have the Henne era, how does our recent history look?

Progressive thinking coach with a GM able to build a tough team. Extend him.

I'm definitely encouraged by what I've seen this year. Even in the loss yesterday I was surprisingly happy and optimistic about this team's future.

We still don't do the most important thing... That would be called winning. I think our new GM should be charlie sheen... he surely knows how to win.

he kept naanee as long as Phiblin wanted to, then he cut him. bonus points for working with his head coach in getting and keeping the type of players phiblin wants, and getting rid of those philbin doesn't want. I'm sure jason garrett would love to get rid of dez bryant instead of coming up with ways to keep him.

But I can see our first, our second, two thirds and a seventh playing significant time. We have a 6th, i believe, that hasnt had an opportunity to get on the field yet, but he will. I see six out of eight that are on the team and working on making it better. So you only would have been happy if all eight picks "saw" the field. Is the glass half empty or half full in your world, man...? You don't have to answer that.

And not for nothing, but how many teams can boast that five of eight and soon to be six of eight are contributing early and effectively. NONE!!! Nice job, Ireland. You are building a solid team...

that can be said for any team. really? do you think every other team out there is perfect and has all their draft picks make it for one, and then play at all? You need to revisit Datruth's draft thread.
