Thank you for showing how well you can miss the OP's point. By that reply one could assume you don't watch the football games, but sit here and complain about records early in a season where everyone in the AFC East has at least 2 losses with only 4 games played. Anyone who's actually WATCHED the games can see that we are a 1-3 team only by a hair, and could just as easily be 3-1 leading the division.

If you choose to ignore that fact, then you aren't someone I'd really care to talk football with anyway. You aren't realistic and you ignore facts.

"Extend losing" is what I read in the title.

Let's revisit this one at the end of the season.
The Dolphins have a serious depth issue that will start to become apparent as normal wear and tear takes hold through the middle and end of the season.

Pick #012: DE Bjoern Werner, Florida State
Pick #022: WR Cordarrelle Patterson, Tennessee
Pick #054: TE Travis Kelce, Cincinnati
Pick #082: FS Shamarko Thomas, Syracuse
Pick #174: CB D.J. Hayden, Houston
Pick #204: OG Hugh Thornton, Illinois
Pick #206: TE Joseph Fauria, UCLA
Pick #208: QB Peter Lalich, California (PA)

Only if you want to hold him liable for that 2009 draft...... Either he was in charge since he got here or he wasn't, can't have it both ways.

What I saw out of the Dolphins the last couple years was a team with good foundational pieces that couldn't put it all together, and whether that was due to Sparano or Henne, i know not. I'm leaning towards it being Sparano's fault, as i think he might have poisoned Henne's football instincts.
All of a sudden we have an intelligent, forward thinking coach and young, intelligent, rifle-armed quarterback (that Ireland brought us), with a system that exploits todays offensive rules..coupled with all those pieces that Ireland drafted..and now we are becoming something fearsome.
Big things on the horizon for the Fins and Ireland is only going to get more expensive the more success we have. Doesn't count against the salary cap and it isn't my money, but IMO keeping him here is of the utmost impotance.
that can be said for any team. really? do you think every other team out there is perfect and has all their draft picks make it for one, and then play at all? You need to revisit Datruth's draft thread.

"Negative"!
And then to end up with a total of 347 wins, averaging 10 regular season wins for 33 years and the best winning percentage, and I'm very proud of this, of any professional team from 1970 to 1996. Don Shula

I'm assuming this thread has to be a troll job. We're 1-3 headed for yet another losing season and talking about extensions. LOL.
