If we, the people, make it an issue they have no choice. The populace by and large are fine to sit there and chew cud while the elected leaders do as they will, not as we will.

I firmly believe that nothing changes in Washington until we have publicly financed elections. It would be nice to have a President in office who doesn't owe a billion favors to various parties who financed their campaign.
