Interesting Watching the 49ers/Seahawks game tonight...

...Wilson looks like he can be a gamer. That said, man, they run a really vanilla offense. I got to see maybe 25-40% of the snaps and didn't see him call one audible. You can't convince me that against a defense like the 49ers you're not going to see something that needs to change before the snap.

I'll give him a flyer since he's a rookie, but where is the command of the offense? Are they just going to try to rely on his scrambling ability? What happens when teams contain it (like tonight)? I think it really puts into perspective what Tannehill is doing in Miami.

Tannehill is running his college offense, Wilson isn't. We don't know how Tannehill would fare in Wilson's situation or vice versa so there's no point in comparing them. Being happy Tannehill's in a good situation and taking advantage doesn't necessitate downplaying how other rooks are doing.

    Sure. Valid points.

But nothing pre-snap? I realize they're a running team first, but there has to be a handful of plays he can audible to to get the offense out of a bad situation. Where is that?

And also, I fully admit I didn't get to watch the whole game. There may have been stuff I missed, and if that's the case then it may change my opinion completely.

Meh no matter what offense you're running you should be able to adjust at the line based on how you read the defence.

wilson made bad decisions all over the place in that game and he's lucky he got away with a lot of em...other than dink and dunk safe stuff they take shots down the field on occasion but wilsons deep ball has a tendency to hang up in the air...

case in point cover 2 he's got a wr streaking down the sideline that ball should be dropped in if it's thrown at all behind the squatting cb and in front of the safety instead he tries to throw it over the top of the deep safety and he's damn lucky that ball wasn't picked...he was late and he tried to just throw it over the top of cover 2...usually you pay for those type of decisions...

i just don't see what's so damn great about russell wilson...seattle had real success running the ball against the 9ers and wilson still couldn't generate but what 100 yards passing all game...glad he's not my qb
hoops scoops...prospects mia should target top 4 rounds 2013 draft...
