GM My remaining off-season plan I think the Dolphins should do.

    This season:

Trade Matt Moore for whatever you can get (even a 4th would be fantastic). Pat Devlin is ready to be the back-up. Miami has enough evidently to make the season competitive- but this is no superbowl competing squad.

    Off-Season:

This is a mixture of free agency and drafting. Miami can't afford to draft a stud receiver and expect them to perform right away. Miami should pursue Greg Jennings ( knows the offense) or Mike Wallace. This would give Tannehill another weapon to use while they develop incoming rookies. Jennings-Harline-Bess is a respectable receiving corps.

Miami picks for 2013 Draft: (This is assuming Miami does not do any trades for picks in the remaining season)

    1st Round (Assigned)
    2nd Round (Assigned)
    2nd Round (Colts)
    3rd Round (Assigned)
    3rd Round (Chicago)
    4th Round (Assigned)
    5th Round (Assigned)
    6th Round (Colts – Conditional)
    7th Round (Assigned)

    My Mock Draft:

    1. Round 1: Tyler Eifert. Tight end, Notre Dame (Seam threat TE Miami needs to accompany Fasano)
    2. Round 2: David Amerson. Cornerback, North Carolina State (Secondary depth)
    3. Round 2: Marquess Wilson. Wide Receiver, Washington State (Number 1 receiver for development)
    4. Round 3: Shawn Williams. Safety, Georgia
    5. Round 3: Gabe Jackson. Guard, Mississippi State
    6. Round 4: Seantrel Henderson. Tackle, Miami (Depth)
    7. Round 5: Conner Vernon. Wide Reciever, Duke (Slot Reciever development project)
    8. Round 6: Bruce Taylor. Linebacker, Virginia Tech (Depth)
    9. Round 6: Collin Klein. Quarterback, Kansas State (In case of an injury, or just a developmental project for future trades to teams that may need a quarterback.)

Round 7: Kicker (Anyone will do. Just get Carpenter out of there.)

    What do you guys think?

I think this should be in the draft forum...and any draft that has us taking Amerson is bad.

Only thing I dont like is no pass rusher!
I think Amerson would be a good pick but he should be moved to FS

Every time I see this mentioned I get nightmarish flashbacks of Jason Allen.

Not one pass rusher for the 4-3 defense in a draft loaded with them?

I'd be fed up. Also that is just too high for a TE IMO. I do agree with taking a QB in this draft late, but not necessarily Colin Klein . . . though I truthfully haven't watched much of him outside of 2 outstanding games against the Canes. I like that you took 2 picks on the OLine. Seantrell is an interesting pick, he has the talent, didn't even know he was eligibile. The guard I have no clue on, hopefully he can replace Incognito next season and he's a better fit than him. There is no way I could draft a safety that low if I'm moving Marshall to FS . . . and Amerson has gotten off to a terrible start this season.

I love the idea of adding size and speed to the slot WR position by drafting Vernon. Bess has one more year remaining and if we find our own Victor Cruz somehow . . . a guy that can explode from the slot, Bess become expendable.

Not a terrible effort, still early but I like some of the things you did with this mock.

Didn't we just draft Egnew in the 3rd round to develop as our seam threat TE? Already giving up on him?

Didn't the coaching staff already give up on him?

Horrible draft. Don't like any of these picks.
