Well the new weather models has the remains of the eye passing right over my town and I mean a bullseye hit. I guess we will see but as long as we don't get more than 2 or 3" of rain my area should be able to handle it. Anymore than that and local flooding becomes an issue and of course the damaging winds will be a problem if it knocks power out. I need to get the chain saw ready and my basement picked up because I live in close enough to a creek that I bet I get water.

I guess we will know one way or another soon enough.

Mine too WI. The wind isn't supposed to be more than 20 to 40 and it is supposed to diminish by Tuesday evening which is quicker than originally predicted. Rain fall totals for my area have gone down a bit as well, it says 2" of rain which isn't horrible.

wow, this **** is ****ing bad. the storm has not even hit yet and the winds are still howling around. i usually love mother nature and am thrilled by it, but this **** is no joke.

i cant even imagine whats going to happen during the brunt of it. this is a once in a lifetime event here in NY.

they said today sandy was the strongest storm to form in the atlantic north of cape hataris on record.

nyc is going to face flooding with salt water coming in to the subway systems during high tide, a situation that people are saying has never happened. this is going to be ****ing bad.

people usually say storms are over-hyped, and many times they are, but this is not. stay safe everyone in the path of this bitch.

Weather channel has just reported that this storm is the after effects of the beat down the Dolphins put on the Jets yesterday. So we can expect this storm to move on to Indianapolis this weekend

This storm has been horrible for me. We didn't get flooded or lose power or anything, but my wife's cousin and his girlfriend were in town this weekend staying in a hotel, only to have their flights cancelled today. So, they're here now and I'm learning that I have zero in common with them. Luckily, that includes taste in beer, so they stick to drinking their own.

I see the storm has sunk the famous ship that was used for the black pearl in pirates of the carribean, I really hope nobody was on it at the time.
