Remember when Dan Gilbert guaranteed a Cleveland Cavaliers title before the Miami Heat won one with LeBron James?
After James announced he was taking his talents to South Beach, the Cavaliers owner went on a TPS Report tirade in the infamous letter written in the Comic Sans font. With James and the Heat receiving their championship rings Tuesday night, Gilbert has seemed to soften on that stance (via Associated Press):
Before the Cavs opened their season Tuesday night, Gilbert said the guarantee "was not the most brilliant thing I've ever done in my life."
Well, it's good to know he sees what everybody else saw the night it happened.
