I like Huntsman a lot. Probably wouldn't have voted for him, but I respect him. The two ads that stick out for me this campaign are these two:
Santorum is a godawful human being, but this ad was great.
And then this one, which is probably the ****tiest, lowest ad I've seen in a national campaign:
Huntsman would have destroyed Obama. I know a lot of liberals & independents that wanted him to win the GOP primary. But, there was no way he was going to make it through the GOP primaries. Romney & McCain eventually learned, you can't be a moderate in today's republican party and win in the primaries.

Same with me. Acknowledging things like climate change made it obvious he would never get the Republican nod, though. If Romney loses tonight, it might give a more moderate Republican, like Huntsman, a more firm footing when 2016 rolls around...

If I could take your pain and frame it, and hang it on my wall,
maybe you would never have to hurt again...

Not sure how real this is but I had read that Obama saw Huntsman as a rising star so they tabbed him as Chinese Ambassador to taint him in the eyes of purists.
I think Huntsman saw the writing on the wall.
The Huntsman Corporation run by his dad is worth billions so he could have gone in big since he could essentially fund himself.
Yet he chose not to.
He is biding his time to either run as a third party or run in a more moderate republican party in another election.
Perhaps he got disgusted by it all and is leaving politics altogether.
That is great, guys. But what about the surrealist nature of his ad?
It's no Big John Cornyn
Not every human is a manipulative, opportunistic, letch... or at least that's what I'm told.
