I like how people are assuming people that smoke pot are high literally all of the time. People that smoke are still held to the same standards of personal responsibility. If they're high on the job, they should be treated just like an employee that is drunk on the job. It's pretty simple.

By the way, I know a few doctors that still smoke. Don't worry, they're not doing your open heart surgery high, though it may help calm those nerves...

I've been wanting to leave Florida for awhile now. I'm tired of the humidity, mosquitos, etc. Colorado is on my radar now. I'll need to do research on the cities. Colorado citizens, feel free to chime in.

For all you people looking to move here it sounds like you won't be able to purchase until Jan. 2014. Although it is extremely easy to get a prescription to smoke it medically. The cost of living is pretty cheap as far as housing goes. But jobs don't pay as much. Good place to live IMO. I have a house that I built on an acre of land. 1800 Sq ft main level, unfinished basement 3 beds two baths large kitchen, dining room and living room. 200k. IT has been in the high 60s all November. Only thing that suck where I live is it can be windy in the Winter, Spring, Early summer.

Southern Colorado is evangelical country, particularly Colorado Springs. I'd stay away unless you're a hardcore Christian. Although places like Durango and Pagosa Springs are pretty amazing. I go to both regularly to snowboard. Anywhere near Denver is going to be pretty nice. Inner Denver is just like any other major city, so I wouldn't recommend moving there unless you're used to rougher neighborhoods.

If you haven't been up there, be prepared for some cold winters. Coming from Florida, it's like nothing you've experienced before. Snow storms can shut down the cities for days at a time. Summers can get warm, but never scorching like Florida. I don't know if you could find 2 more completely different parts of the country...

Springs is changing a little. I live 30 minutes south of there and it is a blue county. But the Springs area is a really pretty place. Where I live the climate is pretty good. It will get cold and it will get hot but all and all it is pretty nice. We have not had a legit snow storm here in over 5 years, Denver on the other hand has had a few.

Last time I was in Denver, which was a few years back, I ended up having to stay 3 days longer because we got snowed in. I didn't mind so much since I love Denver, but I think the wife was getting stir crazy. I've never been to Pueblo, but I had a buddy who moved up there. Wouldn't mind checking it out sometime...
