[QUOTE=JCane;1064493244]He's an average to above-average tackle.
Not worth what he thinks he's worth. Let him walk.[/ maybe we can get him for the price of a average to above average tackle money. I think it would be a mistake letting him walk. Do we not remember the st Clair's the Vern Carey's of left tackles we've had before
Don't we get a comp pic in the draft if he leaves?

Jake is definitely losing traction on demanding big money in the offseason. I think this works out for us and gets him down to a reasonable contract unless he somehow manages to play out of this world the next 7 games. At least he knows he's not playing up to par.

-Dan MarinoI just try to be myself, whatever that is. I don't think about how I'll be remembered. I just want to be consistent over a long period of time. That's what the great players do.
I agree that he should not get the top money he's going to ask for. Of course we let him walk and that's yet another hole to fill. Martin to LT is posible and then you still need a RT which come cheaper most of the time. Hard to believe that once again we're talking about fixing the damn oline.
Ozzy rules!!
